Priorities
According to the SellingPower server, people fighting against procrastination are often determined to finish a certain task by a given time and they cut themselves off from anything else. But they often forget to consider whether the task is really so important. At the core of efficient work and the fight against procrastination there are firmly defined priorities. Take time to decide what is or is not important. And if you find out during work that the given task is not important, do not be afraid to let it be and move on to something more important.
Morning tasks
The most important tasks should be done first thing in the morning. Then they will not linger in your mind during the day and influence your work on other projects. At the same time, if a certain task proves more difficult or harder to solve than you originally expected, you will not get into time pressure as you would if you left the work for the latter part of the day.
Cutting off
When working, eliminate any potential sources of procrastination. Turn off your mobile phone, unplug your wi-fi router and use headphones to avoid listening to conversations around you. Focusing on just one thing and then doing another is always more efficient than multitasking.
Creative procrastination
The natural desire to procrastinate can be satisfied through so-called creative procrastination. This is an activity which is work-related but at the same time fun. For instance, you might watch a movie related to your work or play an audio self-learning book when cooking. There are no limits to creativity.
