Six tips on how to increase your productivity and achieve your goals

Many people work hard, but not everybody is as productive as they would like to be, and not everybody achieves the goals they set for themselves. The key is working smart, not just working hard. Today we will show you six tips on how you can improve your productivity in the long run and how to reach your goals without having to spend more time working than you do now.

Tip 1: If you start something, finish it

According to the blog of the legendary sales guru Brian Tracy, many people lose time unnecessarily by jumping from one thing to another. When they return to one project several times, they always need to remind themselves what needs to be done and what the status of the project is. A much better and effective way is to deal with just one thing at a time, finish it,  and get it off your desk.

Tip 2: Write down a plan for each day

Too many people have their schedule somewhere vaguely in their minds. Write down your daily schedule and have your work agenda written down.

Tip 3: Set realistic goals

Some people believe that the more ambitious plans they have, the bigger the success they will achieve. However, the truth is that if you set unrealistic goals for too long, you will start to  become frustrated and stop following your plans. This is why you must set realistic goals.

Tip 4: Plan rest

Don't just plan your work. You also need to plan rests, regular breaks and relaxation. If you don't get sufficient rest, your productivity and work efficiency will drop significantly.

Tip 5: Don't try to work on too many things at once

Stop trying to juggle five or six projects at once. Stop jumping from one thing to another, and focus fully on just one task at any given time.

Tip 6: Know your daily rhythm

Every person has their own daily rhythm. Most people are most productive in the morning, and as afternoon and evening comes, their efficiency goes down. Know your daily rhythm, and plan your activities so that you leave tasks that require creativity and focus for those parts of the day when you are most productive.
