Focusing primarily on important, though unpopular tasks

It is human nature to avoid unpopular tasks and activities. This is why, when faced with several tasks, we often choose the easier and more bearable one first, so that we can check something off the list as soon as possible. However, from the point of view of work efficiency, it is much better and more productive to start by concentrating on the unpopular but important tasks, so that you can immediately sweep them off the table and do not have to continue to deal with them.

Unitasking

Working on multiple tasks at once sounds like a habit that will help you increase your productivity. However, the opposite is true. If you are constantly flitting from one task to the next without ever focusing fully on any one activity, it is hard to deliver a quality work performance.

Planning your working day

Productive people are used to planning in advance what they will devote their energy to on the following workday. They also remember to schedule "quiet hours", i.e. time set aside when they are not disturbed and have chance to work on their tasks in peace.

Humour and perspective

A high workload also requires a positive attitude. If you take your work too seriously, you will soon become frustrated and stressed. Therefore, you should maintain a certain detachment and humour to help you get through critical and stressful moments.

Willingness to work with others and ask for help

Many people think that an effective worker works alone. But the best workers are usually those who can harness the potential of those around them to multiply their energy. Productive individuals know which tasks to ask for help with, and they do not hesitate to work with their team so that collectively everyone achieves the best possible results.
