Be as specific as posiible, general goals do not work. Develop a plan of action.
2. Be rational
Find a goal in the form a challenge does not mean wasting forces to reach unreachable things. Consider your real options well in advance.
3. Start strong and keep you motivated
If you define your goals well, there is no need to start slowly. The more time and energy you devote to your goal, the more motivating will be to monitor your progress.
4. Measure your progress
Follow the deadlines that you defined in the beginning and compare them to what you have accomplished. Although a little behind the original schedule, remember to reward for your achievements. Take it as an opportunity for improvement not an excuse to give up the goal.
5. Adjust your goals
If your progress does not correspond to your original idea despite your best efforts, find ways to adjust your plan. Even if your plan works, however, do not limit only to the original methods. Be open to experimentation and improvement of your strategy.
