You spend most of your time at work sitting, which is not good for your cardiovascular system or spine. If you want to do something good for your body and mind, start going for walks. Find a local park or, if you like, even a shopping center.
Try something completely new
You have certainly been thinking about something you would like to try, but have not tried yet. Make this your goal this summer. It can be anything you wish - travel to a new place, try a parachute jump, or plant a garden.
Take a vacation
Do not spend the whole summer in the office. If you are one of those people who have not taken a vacation for several years, then you probably feel that you are indispensable at work. This is, however, a misconception. All you have to do is prepare for your vacation by delegating your tasks to one of your colleagues. Then you can turn off the phone and e-mail and go somewhere where you can recharge.
Try camping
Take a sleeping bag, a tent, good shoes or a bike and go where your feet take you, e.g. to the mountains. You may be surprised how staying away from civilization and the internet will be good for you. If you do not want to sleep in a tent, you can try sleeping in a hammock. It's fun and very comfortable.
Get involved in volunteer activities
Look around in your neighborhood for opportunities to help others and the area in which you live. Many projects seeking for volunteers traditionally begin in the summer.
Experience the sunset in a beautiful location
In the summer you have the perfect opportunity to watch the sunset, which is a really a wonderful experience. Beautiful sunsets can be seen in the mountains or near bodies of water. Enjoy it and get a few commemorative photos to decorate the desktop on your PC or on your mobile phone.
Attend an outdoor concert
Most cities offer rich summer cultural programs. Music, film and theater festivals are held in friendly, informal atmospheres. You do not have to squeeze in a suit like the rest of the entire year. Wear jeans, buy a beer in a plastic cup, and sit on the grass.
Try a new summer sport
Have you always wanted to try tennis? Then you now have a perfect opportunity. You don't want to just sit with your friends? Learn to play football or volleyball. It is not important what you do, but that you enjoy it.
