"Creative thinking requires that you continually dig deep into yourself and generate more, newer, better, faster, cheaper, different ideas that you can use to improve the important parts of your life." That is how creative thinking is described by Brian Tracy, American speaker and consultant, one of the leading personalities in the field of personal and professional development. In a recent article on his blog, Tracy summarized sevenĀ abilities everyone who wants to think creatively should not miss.

1. Ability to ask

Creatively thinking people are curious, they constantly ask why.

2. Ability to use the concept of "Zero based thinking"

Ask yourself this basic question: "If I were not now doing what I am doing, knowing what I now know, would I start?" If your answer is no, it's time to start doing something else. Don't bother with anything you would not do if you should start with it again.

3. Ability to accept changes

Creatively thinking people welcome change. They know that everything they decided for in the past couldn't be correct and therefore they are ready to try something new.

4. Ability to admit a mistake

Don't waste your mental energy by defending a decision about which you know that it was bad. A creative person is open even to his own mistakes and is not afraid to admit it.

5. Ability to constantly learn

Creative people aren't afraid to say that they don't know something and actively look for people with more experience to help them.

6. Ability to focus on a goal

Creatively thinking people know what they want. They wrote it down and they regularly visualize their goal. The more they imagine their goals, the more ideas on how to implement them they have.

7. Ability to suspend the ego

Don't try to be right all the time. Concentrate on what is right and accept other people's creative ideas.
