Focus on how you feel during the day. You can, for example, write down your thoughts and then look at them from a broader perspective. You will learn to describe yourself better and thus better understand your emotions.
2. Develop your empathy
Focus more on how you are able to understand the people around you and what you can do to avoid unnecessary conflicts. The ability to show your understanding will bring you respect. How to do it? Listen more to what others have to say to you. Try to understand their feelings.
3. Practise controlling your emotions
Think before you act. This behaviour also can be drilled if you know your emotions. You should know your strengths and weaknesses when communicating with others and control your actions. Emotionally intelligent people behave assertively and appropriately share their thoughts and emotions with the right people at the right time.
4. Keep yourself motivated to solve problems
Do not avoid problems, face them directly and look for solutions. When making decisions, trust your intuition but also the knowledge of your emotions. Decide calmly and rationally. Look forward to achieving success.
5. Be more sociable
Another step to a higher emotional intelligence is the ability to talk with others and show that you care about them. Focus on how to help others, not just yourself. Be humble and remain a team player.
6. Be happy
Most highly emotionally intelligent people are happy. They can handle more tasks than people who are sad or depressed. They can control their emotions and maintain the motivation to solve problems. Remember that spreading happiness around will cost you nothing.
